I like in that he has a kill action, but I don't like that you could probably just change his art to a sign that says "Kill Me First" and it wouldn't change much. I wouldn't even think of sending him into battle without some kind of sure fire protection either attached to him or in my hand.

Look at the chi on this guy! Is it worth it to work some kind of Shuggy Duel/Chi death with him?

It might be, if any of our other shujenga did anything proactive. I'd probably try splashing him and Fosuta into a Monksai dueling deck.

I don't think so. Goblins and oni have traditionally been counted separately from the array of Spider personalities. As it should be, because they're not part of the Clan.

I've already thought of a few decks to run him in. I very much doubt they'll kill him first.

This has been true until lately. There's Gakku, Mokku, Yuhmi no Oni, and Ao-bozu (excluding characcters like Datsue-ba/Oki who are for the most part legitimately 'human' when it comes to first appearances). And while I largely agree with you, I can see a few exceptions for Goblins, the more intelligent ones as well as perhapse Omoni's 'children' once they bring him into the fold (as I understand it he's only not actually Spider currently because he's hunting down The Tao of Fu-Leng and I think keeping up appearances beyond the wall, which at this point is kind of moot as it's known to some and growing more widely known slowly, that the Empire has been infiltrated. Big Omoni fan, so I'd love to see him become Spider). I still doubt Gutobo will be spider however.

We can tell Setsuko is going to be rare, Mishime is rare, and Ao-buzo is rare. Thats all the rare slots for the spider clan.

Gutubo is rare for the unaligned personalities

The last common spider might be an oni or goblin though.

I was hoping for Yoritomo Hotako with the art previewed from Steve Argyle.

I'm thinking Mishime will find a solid place in any Oni deck, for the kill action alone.

We haven't seen the oni Preview itself yet... I'd wait until then =)
