The Plague War Preview - Chuda Kanashi

I approve of this card. I love it. I just wish it said shadowlands or something else on it so we could at least attack with it if our guidance or anything else dumb is up. However, I could see a few goofy honor running decks popping up cause of this.

I love this guy.

Limited Bow tech is never bad, especially since its a token so it will stick around making it easier to bow people later on.

And I know I'm in a minority, but he's got Artisan so my janky use of Discovering Lost Lore just got easier. Razz

hm... i didnt saw the Discovering Lost Lore.... with that artisan it would be a good card for a shugenja deck... but i dont know if the idea is good o.o got no opinion on the try in the Deck thread >_>

But Bow tech is always nice. One question if the enemy has 0F can i put a new token on him to bow him? that he get -1F or so is not possible but could i bow him again?

I'm almost certain you can. However, he will never contribute less then 0 according to the rules- but will have to make up for each negative integer below 0 to actually generate contributing force. I think.

I really like the flavour of this card. Its flavour is modeled after a Japanese myth: Jorogumo. According to the myth, it is a (giant, I take it) Spider that can change into a seductive woman. I really want to read about our Origami Mistress infiltrating an important court and spinning the Spider Clan's web.

The card itself seems to fill an odd slot. I'm not sure whether Kanashi is meant as protection against dishonour decks or is actually meant for Honour decks, similar to Oki having been used in those. I hear that Crane is lacking shugenja, so we maybe will see Kanashi there. I'm all fine with it, if we get some nice stories out of non-Spider usage of Kanashi. The story potential is there.

Also, congratulations to Walec for this personality. It's not what I had expected for a Spider Origami Master, but it's a cool Personality.

I'm waiting for the "fatal oragami" battle strategy card to come, where you target an oragami master personality, and kill them with the paper death blades. 8^D

But this guy is pretty sweet. You can have Fosuta and the spiders cursing/webbing the heck out of the opposition, just as the breedlings move in and start their mayhem.

I'm trying to diversify my Spider experience, but man all these shuggies are making me giddy.

I think this guy's going to be buddied about with the cutest widdle oni there ever was (aka Oki) in some honor decks.

Well maybe not exctly what i suspected but not bad i only regreat that it isint bloodspeaker (although on art he looks as he is ) and he isn't shadowland
I thnik that some control ninja will also be happy, if he was shads it would easli fit into control deck

Big problem with this guy for honor, even though I was first to mention running him and am still looking at it, is that 7g for 2 honor isn't efficient (since the idea would be to get him on top of getting someone for full, Oki's 5 for 3 is much easier to manage) and even if you can manage it, you're now having to deal with Proper Deference. That being said, the honor plus the ability, which is fairly sweet (particularly with multiples on the table) might give him some play in those regards.

There are no more Bloodspeakers with Iuchiban dead. A bloodspeaker is literally a thrall of Iuchiban as I understand it.

Blood speaker is a person how uses blood magic who exsisted long before Iuchiban (as you know it is magic not connected to a elements) for example Michime supposed to be a bloodspeaker Yajinden also and almost whole CHuda family

You mean 2 honor for 5. You don't have to pay full to get his honor gain, it just happens when he comes out.

Those are maho-tsukai; bloospeakers were the sect of maho-tsukai created by Iuchiban.

I believe he meant Out-Of-Clan Honor, probably LSC.

Honestly, this guy will NEVER see play.

Breeder ? useless ! We got much better shugenja !
Monkensei ? Useless !
Paragon ? Not even samurai ! (therefore... useless !)

Honestly, people, when you say "I'll play it" tell us wich deck can run this guy !

And don't tell me "Honor, of course !" ... We can't really be competitive in a Honor run game with Dragon, phoenix, Crane, Lion, or even unicorn !
