Spider Players,

The Empire your Lord Daigotsu has sworn to give as a legacy to his son, Kanpeki, is at war. He has decreed that all Spider should assist the forces of Rokugan against the one he calls a harlot of a Goddess, Kali-Ma the Destroyer. To this effect he has allowed the Dark Wind, his cavalry, to roam free and kill any who dare threaten the Empire.

But there is one amongst the Dark Wind who despite his allegiance to the Dark Lord bears ill-will towards the Empire: Daigotsu Chaozhu, commander of the Hellbeast Legion and brother of Moto Chen, the Khan of the Unicorn Clan. A member of the Kolat, he is now torn between his duty to his Lord and his desire to see his brother’s beloved Empire burn in ashes.

The seed of dissent is sown into the heart of one of Daigotsu’s followers and there is great risk it can spread among the ranks. What will you do to ensure Chaozhu remains on the path of the Spider?

If over the course of the Kotei MegaGame, the Spider Clan donates more points to the Empire than to Jigoku, all members with an ACTIVE Spider/Shadowlands Subscription on June 30, 2010 will be mailed a copy of Daigotsu Chaozhu (english only).

If over the course of the Kotei MegaGame, the Spider Clan donates more points to Jigoku than to the Empire, however, the card Daigotsu Chaozhu will never get released.

The choice is yours. Please login to your Imperial Assembly account to ensure we have your proper mailing address.

United, the Empire will prevail. Divided, it will crumble.

from a story perspective, I'm not keen on the flavor text, but it does fit the whole spider being, well, evil.

The "set" text is PotD which is before they started "dating" the Promos, which started with Harbringer promos as stated in this post linked.

Aside from that, if I want to corrupt my Unicorn deck, I prefer Yuudai, who works well on his own.

4f Cavalry Tactician for effectively 10 is probably better than Yuudai. particularly if you're running will/insight anyhow.

Yuudai + Yamauchi/Kami Unleashed = RA6 with no reactions from the opponent ^^

Also, I don't run Insight nor Will in my Onicorn decks. And Yuudai also has the advantage to bring a Onicorn to 0H (more than 75% of my peeps have a - or 0HR), while Chaozhu brings you to -1.
