Storyline: Military
Location: Toshibu province, Dragon lands
After weeks and months of smaller engagements, the bulk of Army of Fire arrives and lays siege to the great fortress of Shiru MMirumoto. The Dragon army is assembled, but incomplete, as many units have been scattered throughout the provinces in defense of other holdings. The fighting is unlike anything ever experienced within the Draon lands, and the outcome remains uncertain. Heroes will distinguish themselves in battle, heroes of different Clans, and many will fall.
Storyline: Political
Location: The Imperial Court
The eyes of the Empire are upon Shiro Mirumoto, where it is desperately hoped that the Army of Fire can be repelled and cast out of Rokugan. Many step forward to speak in glowing terms of the prowess of the Dragon, and of the Mirumoto specifically. The court will be enthralled by these tales, and they will inspire a great play that will sweep across the Empire in honor of the Empress' Clan. |

It looks like Nicolas is going to have to play against Pierre (DVD bleed) first round. That sucks. Best of luck to ya, man.
Edit: Just noticed that Laurent Simon was 6-2 after 8 rounds and now he is 8-1 after 9. How does that happen? |

We won the political prize with Shadowlands! I'm not sure how an oni will fit in there, but the Story Team will figure something out.

2. Remi Cavaillé (UN)

I just checked, it's a shared prize with Phoenix (Columbia) and Spider (Melbourne) from April. I don't recall if the prizes are resolved already, but I can see how something oni-ish or similar sinister sneaks into the story. |

I was just reminded that the other two prizes are resolved already, so we actually might see a Shadowlands-only prize next week.
According to the Jade Hand, the story of the other two prizes is here:

Hi guys !
I just figured that Shadowlands hadn't won any political prize and this was one of the last chances to fix it, so I took measures ^^
I was quite intrigued when the prize was announced, so we'll see how it turns out.
Nicolas did quite well, beating Laurent Simon (DVD bleed) in the rounds and winning the first against Pierre in top 8, but he couldn't win a second round. And if he had, he would have faced Laurent in top 4 and then the eventual winner, Thomas (Crane) in the final match, so it was quite impossible for him to do better...
I had to face 3 Lions and 3 Mantis, which are the worst match-up against my Shadowlands, so the military tournament wasn't exactly good for me
Could talk more, but need to sleep... |

He was 7-1 after 8 rounds. I made a mistake typing it and edited afterwards. Sorry for the confusion.
Congrats to Julien on his well deserved win |
