I fail to see how having their support would give us a better shot at winning. The whole point is for us to speak on how WE will defeat the plague if given the chance. Not how our united forces will do it. If the unicorn and phoenix don't enter we'd probably have a better chance of winning simply because there are less entries.

I'm all for supporting each other in this, but for this event, I'm not sure there's a point.

There is no doubt in my mind that if we get members of the other Clans to stand with us during our entry, that it will reflect positively in the eyes of the judges. It shows solidarity and more importantly: effort on all of our parts. More than that, the more bodies that we have standing on that stage, the better the overall effect.

Were to go that route (and I can see arguments either way), I think a nice touch would be for the reps from the other clans to not start on stage, but have them in the audience and have part of the speech directed toward them and have them join walk up to stand behind the Spider as if they were swayed by the speech.

I was thinking more along the lines of doing whatever it takes to bribe the ponies and the pigeons to use their entry to stump for us.

Well i wasnt thinking about bribing them but asking for help. If we are to work together i know that we can win the honor contest its just that they have to realize that we are in a race with the crane right now. There is no one else that is close to us so there isnt realy any reason for them to try to win the event other than to keep points away from the Crane and us.

I like the idea of RogueMoon speaking in costume with the Tao of Fu Leng, maybe accompanied by some supernumeraries also in costume. As for what texts should be recited, I'm quite sure that those who know will attend Gen Con will find a good text that's not too much improvised. But it should be a text that whoever will be chosen to recite is comfortable with.

I will speak if asked, but I will need a script and I will need it soon so I can do some memorizing.... Or I could put it inside the Tao and set the Tao up on a pulpit and act like I'm reading from the 'Evil' book.

Reciting from the Tao will not explain how we will be able to stop the plague.

Perhaps, her notes could be hidden in there, though.

That's what I meant, not to read the Tao's actual content. I cannot provide a script, but I'd include that

* Fu Leng is the rightful master of Jigoku, the Shadowlands and Undead and Daigotsu is Jigoku's scion. Only he will be able to find a way to defeat Kali-Ma's abominations.

* The Chuda are the only true experts on maho and in their endeavour to end the Plague of Kali-Ma, they are aided by the Jackals, the eternal adversaries of Kali-Ma and her cult. No one has more knowledge on the threat that is Kali-Ma and the Plague.

* It was Gahseng, a hero of the Spider Clan and loyal servant to Daigotsu, who killed the creature that was controlling the plague zombies.
